Professor W.A Gagakuma is currently the President of Dominion University College (DUC) after serving as an Associate Professor and Vice President of Data Link Institute (DLI), a private University College in Tema, Ghana. He was previously an Associate Professor in Public Administration at the Ethiopian Civil Service University (ECSU) in Addis Ababa, with a core mandate to join a team of diverse expatriate expertise to facilitate change management and its implementation in the Ethiopian Public Service through short and long term capacity building interventions. He was extensively involved in facilitating the development of curriculum for several programmes including Undergraduate and Masters Degree in Public Procurement and Asset Management, Masters in Development Management, Masters in Leadership and Good Governance, and the newly introduced PhD programme in Public Administration at the Civil Service University.
He has been Senior Lecturer/Consultant at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Accra, Ghana for over seven years and has been a past President and Member of the Ghana Institute of Management (MGIM), a position held for four (4) years. He has accomplished many management consulting assignments for organizations in the areas of operations and strategic management as well as in organizational development and public management. He holds a first degree in Mechanical Engineering and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Norwegian School of Management (BI) in 1993 and a Post Graduate in Industrial Management (PG Ind. Mgt.) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
He is currently a Member (MCIAMC) and Vice Board Chairman, a Chartered Management Consultant (CMC) and a Chartered Professional Administrator (CPA) of the Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants (CIAMC). He possesses diverse professional experience in teaching, research and consulting in the fields of public management, operations management, project management, project monitoring and evaluation, organizational design and restructuring, business and strategic planning. He has considerable experience in workshop facilitation for public and private sector programmes, effective press/media relations management and advocacy particularly having served as Past President of the Ghana Institute of Management.
Furthermore, Prof. Gagakuma has extensive experience with NGO management, training needs assessment, curriculum development and capacity building/capacity assessment for diverse target groups including private sector organizations, farmer based organizations, micro, small and medium scale entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship development and retrenchment management.
Prof. Gagakuma has undertaken and also supervised several academic, social and business researches in academia and the consultancy environment and has been involved in several restructuring exercises for the MDAs, MMDAs, NGOs, private and parastatal organizations. Whiles in Ethiopia, Prof. Gagakuma undertook a number of consulting assignments for the African Union Commission (AUC), the Ministry of Education and the Development Bank of Ethiopia where a first of its kind assignment in Ethiopia – Competency Profiling and Gap Analysis for HR Decision Making was undertaken.
Prof. Gagakuma was also appointed to be the Lead Facilitator for the 2nd (but 1st in Africa) Tripartite Seminar of the United Nations (UN), European Union (EU) and African Union Commission (AUC) held in Nairobi, Kenya in 2011. The piece presented was “Achieving Effectiveness and Efficiency in Public Service in the Face of Global Economic Decline”. This paper has since been published. Lastly there are several publications in reputable journals to the credit of Prof. Gagakuma, the latest being the book chapter on “Assessing the Effectiveness of Capacity Building in Fragile States – The Case of Ethiopia”, published by Springer Publication.
He is a certified Professional Digital Marketing Strategist, Social Media Coach, Technology Consultant, Analytics Specialist, Facilitator and Columnist. He has practical experience in Advertising, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Web/App Development and Events. He has worked for both local and multinational brands over the years.He is a highly sort-after facilitator for business technology events, workshops, and seminars.
He speaks on topical technology-industry issues with special focus on the business of technology at technology and business events. He has been featured severally, as resource person or panel, on major media channels in Ghana, such BBC101.3, Joy 99.7FM, Citi 97.3FM, Starr 103.5FM, Radio XYZ 93.1FM, Live 91.9FM, JoyNews TV, GTV, Metro TV and TV3. He has written over 65 weekly articles for Graphic Business newspaper. Sylvester Nti has been a banker since 2003. He currently works as a Business Analyst with the Chief of Staff of the Ecobank Group Chief Executive Officer in Lome, Togo.
In his role, he oversees strategy implementation, follow ups on business performance of regions, business units and segments and also countries. He also oversees functions in HR, operations, and projects that are undertaken with direct supervision of the Group CEO. The projects include Basel 2/3, IFRS9, etc. before assuming this role, he was an Equities Dealer for two years with Ecobank, FX Dealer for 6 years and Head of trading for two years with oversight of the trading function which included FX And Bonds trading. He had a one year stint with HFC Bank as an Investment Analyst.
He was also a regulator with the Securities and Exchange Commission overseeing investment boutiques and listed companies. He holds MPhil in Economics from University of Ghana. He holds CFA, Financial Risk Manager and ACI Financial Markets designations. He is married with two children

He also holds a Group Diploma in Management Studies, Diploma in Business Statistics, Diploma in Office Management, Certificate in Personnel Management, Certificate in Business Communication and Certificate in Facilitation. His skills include facilitation, management development/training, presentation, facilitating problem diagnosis, inter-personal relations and process consultation. Samuel is a Chartered Accountant by profession and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant with a portfolio of experience ranging from Strategic Planning, Business Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Process Outsourcing, Financial Modelling and Project Management. He is a graduate of the University of Cape Coast and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at GIMPA.
For the past three years, He has served on the CIMA branch committee and have provided tremendous support to both students and members. Since 2015 Sam has been facilitating CIMA papers - the enterprise pillar papers such as E.2 and E.3 including the ACCA paper P.3 Business analysis and the strategic level papers.
