What’s CIMA?

CIMA stands for The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.  The world’s largest professional body of management accountants, with the most useful accounting qualification for a career in business. Once you complete your studies with CIMA, you’ll become a CIMA member, get the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation and join the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (the Association), the world’s largest professional body of accountants.

The Benefits of being CGMA designation holder:

  1. Thousands of companies around the world, from multinationals to the newest start-ups in the public and private sectors, train their people with CIMA. You are connected globally.
  2. With the CIMA qualification you develop the practical skills employers need to work in wide range of roles from finance to consultancy, IT to senior management positions.
  3. As a CGMA designation holder you earn more and if you’re working you move up the ladder.

Who usually gets a CGMA designation?

Ambitious school leavers, graduates and working professionals all go for the designation to get a business edge. The management level considers analysis to get to performance success. It reflects the work of middle managers. The Management level is also made up of three papers plus an integrated case study paper and awards a CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.
